Cookies and consent

This overview forms part of our privacy policy. It lists all cookies and entries in your browser's storage (localStorage, sessionStorage) that our website webdonkey.io and our shop at shop.webdonkey.io set or have set, with purpose, retention period and legal basis. The controller is BuI Hinsche GmbH, Neumarkt 7, 06712 Zeitz, Germany.
Your choice
On your first visit a banner asks whether you agree to statistics and marketing. “Accept all” and “Necessary only” have equal prominence; under “Settings” you choose the groups individually. Your choice applies to webdonkey.io and shop.webdonkey.io together. You can change or withdraw it at any time with effect for the future using “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page; we then delete the cookies of the services concerned in your browser. After twelve months, or if we change what we ask consent for, the banner asks again.
Without consent: technically required or chosen by you
The legal basis for storing and reading is § 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG; the information is strictly necessary for the function you requested. Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR applies to further processing, for the consent cookie also Art. 6(1)(c) in conjunction with Art. 7(1) GDPR.

The localStorage and sessionStorage entries do not leave your browser. The country cookies contain no identifier by which we could recognise you. If the shop's cookie dialog shows entries for PayPal or Google Pay payments under “Technically required”, they come from installed payment extensions; we do not offer these payment methods, and no data is transmitted to PayPal or Google through them.

These entries stay on your device; only the cookie wd_consent goes with requests to webdonkey.io and shop.webdonkey.io.
Only with consent: statistics and marketing
Website and shop load these services only if you agreed to the respective group, and only for as long as we use the service. The legal basis is your consent (§ 25(1) TDDDG, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). The cookies of the services apply to all addresses under webdonkey.io. What the services record and where data goes is set out in section 7 of the privacy policy.

Without your consent neither website loads Google Tag Manager, and no request goes to Google, Meta or TikTok.
The apps
WebDonkey, WebDonkey Editor and WebDonkey Pages set no cookies. They do not store cookies that the shop sends back to requests from the apps.
